Back in the early 1800s, families were locating the land where they could raise their children and make a living. John Deere was one of them. He was born in Vermont in 1804. The pioneer farmers struggled, and Deere believed there must be a better way to till the earth.
Using a broken saw blade, he created his ideal plow. Today, Deere is a global leader, providing products and services to those who work the land.
The corporation also has branched out into financial services. John Deere's internship program allows students to take the skills they are learning and sharpening in college and apply it to the real world – the world outdoors.
They view every intern as a potential full-time employee who can make a signification contribution. And Deere is eager to invest their time into training students about their business. Most programs are during the summer and last 13 weeks.
Many interns return the following summer. Students may join at any point during their undergrad or graduate studies. They are very creative in their flexibility. They allow you interns, to work part time, and schedule their jobs around their classes.
While gaining insight into their business, interns can continue to pursue their degree – and receive a paycheck.
Freshman students and up with a GPA of 3.0 are eligible to apply.
They must be enrolled fulltime in a college or university.
