Koch Internship Program Overview

Koch Industries, Inc. was founded in 1940 by Fred Koch after he created a unique crude oil refining process. In 2007, it soared to the top of the list as the largest privately held company in the U.S.

This multinational corporation has subsidiaries in the manufacturing, refining and distribution of petroleum – and a wide array of other minerals and fertilizers. They broadened their reach, discovering innovative ways to delve into the world of finance, commodities trading and investing. Today, the company has operations in 60 countries and employs 130,000 globally.

The Koch Internship Program (KIP) provides incredible opportunities for students, mixing a rich blend of educational and substantial work experiences. During their term, interns will gain insight on how to own their career and discover the value of social entrepreneurship and how they can make the world a better place.

In the program, interns will collaborate with insightful teams, learn about the company’s vision and develop strengths, all while exploring which field of interest they find most intriguing. Koch’s summer internships are 10 weeks long, and their spring and fall programs last for 14 weeks. Since 2008, they have hired 2100+ interns.
